Lightner Motors is a truly family owned and operated business. We started the business in 1977. That's 30 years experience in buying and selling cars!

In 1989 we moved from Dixon, Illinois to Bradenton, Florida. We are located just 3 miles from the beautiful Gulf of Mexico on Cortez Road. Along with our honest reputation and unbeatable pricing, our relaxed atmosphere will make your car buying experience especially enjoyable. We do not believe in high pressure sales tactics, but rather we work hard to ensure our customers find just what they're looking for. We would like to make every customer a repeat customer. We have very low overhead which makes it possible for us to offer deals the other dealers can't touch. We have never charged any dealer fees, documentation fees, or anything of that sort.

With the technology age we are in, our business has shifted to rely on a great deal of advertising through this website, Cars.com, Autotrader.com and the other internet sources. We are proud to say that a number of our cars end up sold out of town or out of state, from California to New England, and even out of country in some instances. Many of our customers come from Fort Meyers and Port Charlotte through Tampa and St. Pete.

Most of our cars are brand new car trades, with the largest majority of them from our long time relationship with new Lincoln and Mercury dealers. We buy many cars from individuals and out of estate sales whenever possible.
